Thalaivar 170: Rajinikanth starrer titled Vettaiyan : Bollywood News

Just earlier today, South celebrities were seen taking to social media to wish one of their megastars Rajinikanth on his special day. As the actor turned 73, as a special birthday tribute, the director of his next, TJ Gnanavel along with the makers of Thalaivar 170 decided to unveil the title of the film which also features an ensemble cast of Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier in key roles with Amitabh Bachchan in an extended cameo. The film’s title has been locked and a short clip too has been released along with it.

Titled as Vettaiyan (Hunter), the film showcases Rajinikanth in the lead character and going by the short clip, it seems that audiences will once again see the superstar in his famous action-packed avatar. Although no other details have been revealed, we are sure fans of the megastar are thrilled with this glimpse as they got a sneak peek into the avatar which will be played by the Jailer actor. Interestingly, this role seems to showcase Rajinikanth in a younger avatar, compared to his previous actioner directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.

Speaking of Vettaiyan, the film’s announcement garnered much anticipation as along with the names of Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, and Manju Warrier, the makers also welcomed actresses Ritika Singh and Dushara Vijayan on board on social media. Adding to it, the fans are also excited to see the Hum actors Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan reunite on the big screen after decades. Apart from them, the film will also feature Kishore, GM Sundar, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Ramesh Thilak, Rakshan, and others.

With Anirudh Ravichander as the music director, the other members of the crew include S.R. Kathir I.S.C as director of photography, Philomin Raj as the editor, and Sakthee Venkat Raj as the art director. The stunts in this high-octane action drama will be choreographed by Anbariv. Produced under the banner of Lyca Productions, the makers are yet to reveal the release date of this upcoming entertainer.
