The veteran actor was conferred with the esteemed Padma Vibhushan, the nation's second-highest civilian accolade, in recognition of his significant contributions to cinema. The announcement reverberated with widespread acclaim, prompting a visit from acclaimed director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, known for Animal.

Vanga personally extended his congratulations to Chiranjeevi, emphasizing the actor's enduring impact on Indian cinema. A viral photo circulating on social media features the dynamic trio of Chiranjeevi, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and Srikanth Odela seated together.

Upon receiving the honour, Chiranjeevi earlier expressed his gratefulness following the honour. “It is only the unconditional love of the audience, my friends, my blood brothers, and sisters. I owe this life and moment to you. I have always tried to express my gratitude in the ways I can, though I know I can never do enough.”

He added, “On screen, in the last 45 years of my film career I have tried to entertain you to the best of my capabilities and off screen, I try to help the needy by taking up relevant social and humanitarian causes from time to time. I have done so little, yet you have given me such great recognition and honour. I always remain indebted to you for your love and support.”

“At this moment of pride, I would like to thank the government of India and our honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji for bestowing on me Padma Vibhushan. Thank you. Jai Hind,” he concluded his speech.

Along with Chiranjeevi, yesteryear actress Vyjayanthimala was also felicitated with Padma Vibhushan.
