Indian superstar Chiranjeevi was one of the 132 recipients of the prestigious Padma awards announced on Republic Day. Acknowledged with the Padma Vibhushan, the second-highest civilian honour, Chiranjeevi was lauded for his service to the film industry. The announcement garnered widespread congratulations, with nephew Allu Arjun expressing his heartfelt wishes through a note congratulating him on his illustrious career and honour.
On Friday, Allu Arjun took to his X, formerly known as Twitter, to share a sketch of Chiranjeevi and penned a heartfelt note. It read, “Congratulations to our megastar @KChiruTweets garu for the prestigious honour of Padma Vibhushan. What an honour for the family, fans & Telugu people. I feel so elated & honoured by this achievement. Thank you for making us all so proud.”

In a video shared on his social media, Chiranjeevi expressed his gratefulness following the honour saying, “It is only the unconditional love of the audience, my friends, my blood brothers, and sisters. I owe this life and moment to you. I have always tried to express my gratitude in the ways I can, though I know I can never do enough.”
He added, “On screen, in the last 45 years of my film career I have tried to entertain you to the best of my capabilities and off screen, I try to help the needy by taking up relevant social and humanitarian causes from time to time. I have done so little, yet you have given me such great recognition and honour. I always remain indebted to you for your love and support.”
“At this moment of pride, I would like to thank the government of India and our honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji for bestowing on me Padma Vibhushan. Thank you. Jai Hind,” he concluded his speech.
