Pushpa: The Rise - Part 01, the much-awaited Telugu film, was finally released in cinemas across the country in various languages today. The makers of the film got a bit into a spot yesterday after it came to light that the work on the film got completed very late and that it was yet to receive a Censor certificate in the Hindi version. The makers then got into a race against time as they quickly secured the certificate in the evening and dispatched the content and KDM in time. Sadly, the Malayalam version couldn’t make it in cinemas while in certain Overseas territories too, its release was postponed to the next week. However, the film opened today to full houses in the original version. Even the Hindi dubbed version has taken a great start and this factor has overshadowed all the negativity surrounding the film.

As the title of the film suggests, Pushpa: The Rise - Part 01 is the first part of a multi-film series. Fans and the trade were eager to know what the sequel will be called. However, the makers never revealed the name of the second part.

However, at the end of the first part, the makers have finally ended the suspense. After the last scene of the film is played out, it’s mentioned that the sequel will be called Pushpa 2 – The Rule. Before the sequel’s name is announced, the makers, in a witty move, instead of mentioning ‘The End’ put ‘2nd Interval’ on the screen! The words ‘2nd Interval’ then disappears and 2 remains and it gets added into the title of the sequel. It is a small but innovative strategy and has been loved by the audiences.

Pushpa: The Rise - Part 01 is the story of a mysterious man who starts as a labourer in the red sandalwood smuggling and later becomes one of the most influential members of the syndicate. The sequel, Pushpa 2 – The Rule, as the name suggests will probably focus on his rise in this industry. His enmity with his arch-nemesis, Inspector Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, will also be something to watch out for in the second part. Allu Arjun plays the main lead in this action thriller and it also stars Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna, Dhananjay, Anasuya Bharadwaj and others.
