After ruling the South film industry Samantha Ruth Prabhu seems to be pursuing a career in Bollywood. However, it looks like her marketing team in Mumbai planning her publicity is on an overdrive. They are planting stories about her “rapid progress” and “unique positioning” in Bollywood. By planting speculative stories on Samantha’s cinema-signing spree in Mumbai, her team is putting the Telugu-Tamil actress into an embarrassing situation.
Some time ago, the internet was abuzz with stories that Samantha is “in advanced talks” with director Aditya Dhar for The Immortal Ashwatthma opposite Vicky Kaushal. There is no truth to this. Dhar’s project remains on hold, but the leading lady for the project is also likely to be wife Yami Gautam.
Another news report said that producer Dinesh Vijan is “considering” Samantha for a film opposite Ayushmann Khurrana. On further probing, it was found that there is no such project at the moment. Despite these rumours, Samantha “may” come together with Akshay Kumar in a film directed by Karan Johar. So the two actors may be coming together – but only for an episode of the popular chat show Koffee With Karan.
