Rashmika Mandanna opens up about her bond with Vijay Deverakonda amid engagement rumours; says, “He has supported me personally more than anyone else”

Reports had it that Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda were making a massive announcement about their engagement in February.

Even though Vijay Deverakonda has maintained that he is not getting married any time soon, his engagement rumours with Rashmika Mandanna continues to add fuel. The two actors, who have shared screen space in Telugu films like Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade, have remained tight-lipped about their relationship. However, the two of them have never left an opportunity to talk about their ‘special friendship’ and recently Rashmika was seen revealing about her bond with Vijay.

In an interview with We Are Yuvaa, Rashmika Mandanna was seen explaining about her friendship with Vijay Deverakonda wherein she said "Viju and I sort of grew up together. So anything I do in my life right now, he has a contribution to it." She went on to add that his opinion matters to her as she continued, "I take his advice in anything I do, I need his opinion. He's not a yes person. He's on point. This is good...this is not good...this is what I think...this is what I don't think. He has supported me personally more than anyone else in my entire life. So, I feel he's someone I really, really respect."

Last month, at the start of the year, reports were abuzz with engagement rumours of the two Telugu stars. However, in an interview with Lifestyle Asia, Vijay clarified that it is not true and he had said, "I'm not getting engaged or married in February. It feels like the press just wants to get me married every two years. I hear this rumour every year. They're just walking around waiting to catch me and get me married.”

On the work front, Vijay Deverakonda is busy with his work commitments including two films Family Star with Mrunal Thakur and the untitled VD 12. Meanwhile, Rashmika too has an interesting lineup of films which is a mix of Bollywood and South projects, including the much-awaited Pushpa 2: The Rule, Rainbow, The Girlfriend, and the Vicky Kaushal starrer Chaava.
