Rashmika Mandanna, riding high on the success of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal, recently opened up about her experience shooting in snow-clad Manali for the film alongside co-star Ranbir Kapoor. The duo donned a saree and kurta respectively for their on-screen marriage sequence, braving the freezing temperatures in style.

Recalling the challenges of shooting in a saree amidst the snow, Rashmika told We Are Yuvaa, "Inside, I was really happy that I am not the only one who's suffering in a saree, you also suffer." Director Vanga's vision for the scene involved runaway lovers marrying in an unconventional setting, and it seems both actors got a taste of the "bizarre" reality!

Rashmika went on to detail the practical difficulties of filming in such extreme conditions. The cold saps the life out of makeup, leaving actors looking pale and requiring constant touch-ups. Hairdressing becomes a battle against the elements, with carefully styled locks flattening and defying styling tools.

"You're just like, 'I am freezing, please give me my jacket,'" Rashmika quipped, capturing the essence of the behind-the-scenes chaos.

Despite mixed reviews, Animal roared at the box office, crossing the coveted Rs 900 crore mark and becoming one of the highest-grossing films of 2023. The star-studded cast, including Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Tripti Dimri, added to the film's appeal.

Speaking of the professional front, the 27-year-old actress has a packed schedule ahead. She will soon be seen sharing screen space with Vicky Kaushal in Chhaava and is also gearing up for Pushpa 2.
