A group of devoted fans from Japan recently travelled to Hyderabad with the hope of meeting Ram Charan, and their wish finally came true. The actor welcomed them at his residence in Jubilee Hills, where he interacted with them, heard their stories, and looked through the handmade gifts they brought for him.

Japanese Fans Meet Ram Charan in Hyderabad
A video shared by Ram Charan’s team captured one of the most heartwarming interactions. In the clip, a Japanese fan appeared overwhelmed as she shook his hand. The translator accompanying the group told Ram, “She watched RRR more than 100 times. There are girls who watched it every day.”
Surprised, Ram asked whether she watched the film on OTT. The fan replied, “No, in cinemas,” leaving him visibly impressed. He thanked her before looking through the artwork and memorabilia she had created for him. The fan blushed throughout the interaction, clearly moved by the moment.
The Japanese fans also took the translator to some of the key locations in Hyderabad where Ram Charan’s film Magadheera was shot, including Golkonda Fort. They clicked photos and recorded videos during what they fondly called the “Kanmani Tour.” They also shared their hope that Ram’s films Game Changer and Peddi would receive Japanese releases with subtitles.
During an interview with iDream, one fan amusingly said she loved Ram Charan’s eyelashes, while another shared that she cried for 30 minutes after the actor told her he still had the doll she gifted him during his Japan visit.
Ram Charan’s Recent Work
Ram Charan’s popularity in Japan grew significantly after the release of SS Rajamouli’s RRR in 2022, earning him and Jr. NTR a strong fan base similar to what Baahubali stars enjoyed earlier.
Following RRR, Ram Charan appeared in Acharya, directed by Koratala Siva and starring his father, Chiranjeevi, though the film did not perform well. Earlier this year, he was seen in dual roles in Shankar’s Game Changer, co-starring Kiara Advani and SJ Suryah, which also struggled at the box office.
He is now filming Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The project features a star-studded cast including Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu and Divyenndu. Peddi is scheduled for release on March 27, 2026.
