Megastars Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan reunited recently and the photos have gone viral on social media. While the former is busy with the shoot for Thalaivar 170, the latter is completing Indian 2. The actors were shooting at the same lot when they briefly met each other before returning to work. The pictures were posted by the production house Lyca Productions, which is bankrolling both of these highly anticipated big-budgeted films.

On Thursday, Lyca Productions shared a photo on X, formerly known as Twitter, and captioned it, “The 2 unparalleled LEGENDS of Indian Cinema ‘Ulaganayagan’ @ikamalhaasan & ‘Superstar’ @rajinikanth sharing a lighter moment while shooting for their respective films Indian-2 & Thalaivar170 in the same studio after 21 years! And we @LycaProductions are super happy & proud to be producing both the films!”

Meanwhile, Thalaivar 170 stars Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Ritika Singh, Manju Warrier, and Dushara Vijayan. Subaskaran is producing the untitled project, and Anirudh Ravichander will compose the music. The film is directed by TJ Gnanavel.

On the other hand, Kamal Haasan will next star in Kalki 2898 which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in pivotal roles. It is helmed by Nag Ashwin and is scheduled for January 2024 release. He has also announced Thug Life with Mani Ratnam as they reunite after 33 years. Actors Dulquer Salmaan and Trisha Krishnan are on board to star in the movie.
