Mansoor Ali Khan issues cryptic statement saying ‘forgive me’ to Trisha Krishnan : Bollywood News

On November 24, Mansoor Ali Khan had to be summoned by Chennai police after an FIR was filed against the actor for making derogatory statements about ‘rape’ and ‘bedroom scene’ with Leo co-star Trisha Krishnan. Post that, now, the actor is expected to have issued a statement which is a cryptic message that reads ‘Forgive me Trisha’. Readers would be aware that the uproar was fuelled up further after the entire team of the film, including the director and producer condemned the remarks made by Khan.

Furthermore, many celebrities also came in support of Trisha Krishnan and continued to express their displeasure and anger on social media over the comments made by Mansoor Ali Khan during a press conference which further led to National Commission for Women also issuing a statement against the actor. Although in an earlier interview, Mansoor Ali Khan had maintained that he wouldn’t be apologizing to Trisha for his remarks, we hear that after the police questioning, Khan is expected to have issued an apology statement.

In the statement, in Tamil, Mansoor Ali Khan has posted a rather cryptic post. While he does ask for ‘forgiveness’, he even went on to call it a ‘week-long-battle’ without blood. He concluded the statement as he wrote, “My co-actress Trisha, Please forgive me! May God bless the fortune for me to bless your Mangalyam (marital necklace) as it goes around in the coconut tray in the auspicious marital ritual! Amen. ---Mansoor Ali Khan" .

For the unversed, Mansoor Ali Khan had earlier spoken about not sharing screen space with Trisha Krishnan in the recently released Leo and had said, "When I heard that I was acting with Trisha, I thought there would be a bedroom scene in the film. I thought I would carry her to the bedroom just like I did other actresses in my earlier movies. I have done so many rape scenes and it's not new to me. But these guys didn't show Trisha to me on the sets during the shoot in Kashmir."

The actor was booked under sections 354 A and 509 on charges of making statements outraging a woman’s modesty.
