Rajinikanth enjoys Holi with daughters and grandkids : Bollywood News

Among many other celebrities, Rajinikanth too decided to spend the Holi and fans of Thalaivar were thrilled to see him happy as he enjoyed the festivities. The South megastar celebrated the special day with his wife Latha, daughters Aishwarya and Soundarya as well as his grandchildren. Photos were shared on the social media platform by both his daughters on the platform wherein they also revealed the reason why this Holi is special.

Soundarya Rajinikanth took to Instagram to share a frame-worthy picture albeit missing from it was the superstar himself. While she was seen holding her sons Ved and Veer, the photo also featured her mother Latha, her husband Vishagan who was seen holding her sister Aishwarya Rajinikanth. She captioned it saying, “Happy holi” and added heart as well as hug emojis.

In yet another photo posted by Aishwarya, she shared a photo of her father celebrating the moment along with his grandkids, and revealed that the festivities were special because it is also the day the megastar got rechristened as Rajinikanth from Shivaji Rao Gaikwad. For the unversed, the move was done by filmmaker-actor K Balachander before the megastar made his Tamil debut in Apoorva Rangal (1975) which featured Kamal Haasan as the lead. She explained about it in her caption as she wrote, “Happy “Rajinikanth”Day Shivaji Rao #holi #appa remembering #Balachander thatha #gratefuleveryday” along with multiple emojis. The filmmaker’s sons Yatra and Linga were also expected to have joined these celebrations.

On the work front, Aishwarya Rajinikanth recently released Lal Salaam which featured Rajinikanth in a special appearance. Whereas, speaking of the megastar, he is currently completing the TJ Gnanavel directorial Vettaiyan which is expected to feature an ensemble cast of Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, among others. He also has Thalaivar 171 with Lokesh Kanagaraj in the pipeline.
