Telugu filmmaker Nag Ashwin is gearing for the highly anticipated sci-fi spectacle, Kalki 2898 AD, featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani, as it promises to take the big screen by storm. It was only recently when actor Amitabh Bachchan announced that the film is nearing its completion, sparking excitement among audiences worldwide. With such an impressive ensemble cast, fans are busy wondering what does one of the most awaited and biggest films in the making has in store for them. Opening up about the film, the producer Swapna Dutt Chalasani recently highlighted how they managed to get this casting coup as she asserts that the entire credit goes to the film’s story.

Producer Swapna Dutt believes that the film’s story is the driving force behind drawing all the actors into its narrative. She said, “I feel it’s the story which drove them all in. It’s not any of us. I don’t think any one of them was worried about what the other person was doing. They kind of saw the bigger picture of what we were all together doing for the film. I think that’s clearly why we were able to pull it off”.

Directed by Nag Ashwin and bankrolled by Vyjayanthi Movies, Kalki 2898 AD is a multilingual, a mythology-inspired sci-fi spectacle film set in the futuristic post-apocalyptic world. It has been mounted on a massive scale with the sets to the props being created from scratch since the film represents a world, which is about 800 years into the future. While the teaser of the film was unveiled at the prestigious Comic Con about two years, fans, since them are awaiting the release of it. The makers have finally announced the release date of this pan-India entertainer on May 9, 2024.
