Raghava Lawrence expresses happiness as he meets Rajinikanth ahead of the release of Chandramukhi 2

It has always been an iconic moment for not just audiences but also Indian film industry members to meet the iconic Superstar Rajinikanth. The megastar, who is known to appreciate the work of his colleagues, co-stars, and juniors, was seen giving his blessings to Raghava Lawrence, since the latter is gearing up for Chandramukhi 2. In fact, Raghava took to social media to share moments from their meet up along with a heartfelt note.

For the unversed, Raghava Lawrence will be seen essaying the role of Vettaiyan Raja in the upcoming sequel to the 2005 psychological horror film Chandramukhi. The film which originally featured Jyothika in the dual role of Ganga and Chandramukhi, will now feature Kangana in the titular role. The teaser of the same was released this month and now it seems that ahead of the release, Raghava was keen on taking the blessings of the original superstar.

On September 26, Raghava Lawrence took to X, formerly known as twitter, to share montages where he is seen taking the blessings of Rajinikanth. The actor also penned a heartfelt note expressing his happiness over meeting his idol and one of the biggest South superstars for his film, ahead of its release, saying, “Hi friends and fans, Today I met my Thalaivar and Guru @rajinikanth to wish him for jailer’s blockbuster success and got blessings for #Chandramukhi2 release on September 28th. I’m so happy. Thalaivar is always great. Guruve Saranam”.

For the unversed, Chandramukhi, which also starred Prabhu and Nayanthara, was in itself a remake of the 1993 Malayalam movie Manichitrathazhu. The film earned rave reviews from critics and audiences alike and became one of the biggest hits in the actors’ careers. As for Chandramukhi 2, the film is slated for release on September 28 in multiple languages.
