Yesterday, Rashmika Mandanna stole the show with her quotes and dance at the 55th International Film Festival of India, Goa. Today, November 29, she reached Mumbai to promote her much-awaited film Pushpa 2 – The Rule. Allu Arjun was conspicuous by his absence yesterday but today, he was present and seemed to be in a jovial mood. The actor gave a long speech as he talked about his film’s team and a lot more.

Director Sukumar couldn’t make it, but Allu Arjun spoke highly of him. He began by saying, “My entire journey of 20 years started with Sukumar garu. He’s not just the director of Pushpa 2 but also my second film Arya (2004). We also made many more films together. There’s no way I’ll be standing on this stage without his support. It was he who undoubtedly made me a star. I keep telling this in my hometown that during the end of my life, when I look back, if there’s one person that changed the course of my life, it would be none other than Sukumar garu. Darling, I really miss you!”

He further said, “He’s such a phenomenal director and he cares a lot for the audience. His absence today speaks about his work. It’s such a big thing to be today in Mumbai and showcase your film to the national media. Yet, he’s sitting there (in Hyderabad) and trying to make small-small betterments.”

Allu Arjun continued, “Believe me, not even for a second did we think how much money are we going to make out of this film. All of us have dedicated five years in the prime of our lives to this series. For Pushpa 2, we have given three years to give the best possible product. I hope it touches your heart!”

He also stated, “I have lost my voice (laughs). I need to dub one or two small corrections. I need to rest tonight. I’ll get back home and I’ll (dub). You know, I consider the audience as God. And when you give something to God, there’s no limitation of anything. You should try to give the best of your ability.”

The Mumbai event of Pushpa 2 – The Rule was also attended by producer Y Ravi Shankar, distributor Anil Thadani and Bhushan Kumar of T-Series. The film releases in cinemas on December 5.
