Bringing together the much-anticipated Drishyam duo is the upcoming Malayalam film Neru which features Mohanlal as the leading man with Jeetu Joseph as the filmmaker. Ardent Malayalam movie buffs will be aware that the two talented artists have been putting together a courtroom drama and the release of this entertainer is just around the corner. With the Neru team gearing up for the same, the makers of the movie decided to tease audiences by unveiling another intriguing poster, this time, also featuring leading lady Priyamani of Jawan fame.

Readers will remember Priyamani as one of the main members of Shah Rukh Khan’s girl squad in the blockbuster Jawan. The actress, in the upcoming Jeethu Joseph directorial, is also expected to essay the role of a lawyer. If reports are to be believed, the film will be dealing with subjects of corruption and certain legal conflicts set against the backdrop of the Indian judicial system. Mohanlal took to Instagram to share this poster with a caption that read, “#Neru Official Poster Releasing worldwide on December 21st!” Along with this, he also tagged the entire team of the film including the rest of the cast as well as the crew.

Speaking further about the film, the story is written by Jeetu along with the help of advocate Santhi Maya Devi. The technical team of the film also comprises of cinematographer Satheesh Kurup, editor VS Vinayak, with music composed by Vishnu Shyam.

Besides Mohanlal and Priyamani, the film also stars Anaswara Rajan, Jagadish, Siddique, Nandu, Sreedhanya, and Mathew Varghese in pivotal roles. Produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner Aashirvad Cinemas, it is slated for release during Christmas, on December 21. Meanwhile, Mohanlal and Jeetu Joseph are also expected to kick start work on Drishyam 3 soon.
