L2 Empuraan: Mohanlal fans get excited as the first look of Lucifer sequel gets unveiled

The film will be directed by popular Pan India actor Prithviraj Sukumaran.

The last collaboration of Prithviraj Sukumaran and Mohanlal created waves as the duo won hearts with the action-packed Lucifer. The superstars are now all set to get together in the director and actor space yet again after four years with the sequel to the film in the making. As they kick-started the second instalment of L2 Empuraan earlier this day, now, on November 11, during the occasion of Diwali, the makers decided to treat fans with the first look of the film.

Going by the recently unveiled first look by Mohanlal on social media, it seems that we can expect more action and power-packed stunt sequences from L2 Empuraan. Although it doesn’t show the face of superstar Mohanlal, he has been given an all-black look which also includes a matching trench coat and he is also seen holding a gun. Actor-filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran also took to the platform to share the same look and said, “3rd directorial. 2nd part of the franchise. 1st look. #L2E #Empuraan #Firstlook”. On the other hand, producers Aashirvad Cinemas also posted it with a caption that read, “As you soar, the devil watches from the heights. L2E - EMPURAAN First Look”.

Fans of the superstar and the movie who are eagerly awaiting an update, were thrilled to get a glimpse of the first look. Expressing their excitement, many of them took to the platform and called it a ‘blockbuster in the making’ while dropping their comments and fire emojis on the post.

For the unversed, the 2019 release Lucifer featured Mohanlal in the role of an influential entrepreneur who arrives during the death of his godfather to save his family from falling prey to their enemies. The film featured Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas in pivotal roles with Vivek Oberoi as the antagonist. Prithviraj Sukumaran, who also directed the film, made an extended and important cameo in the film as the right-hand man of ‘Lucifer’. From what we hear Manju Warrier and Tovino Thomas will also be a part of this sequel reprising their roles from the first installment.

Coming to L2 Empuraan, details of the film are currently being kept under wraps and we hear that the film has been extensively shot across Europe. It is expected to be a pan India entertainer which will release in all South languages as well as Hindi.
