Earlier this week, India brought two Oscars home. At the 95^thAcademy Awards, RRR movie bagged Best Original Song for ‘Naatu Naatu’. At the Oscars’ after-party hosted by Vanity Fair, Jr. NTR was in attendance with Ram Charan, SS Rajamouli and the team of the movie. Lyricist Chandrabose and music composer M.M. Keeravaani accepted the award for the song. Now, the lyricist revealed recently that even superstar Tom Cruise loves the song.

Speaking to Sakshi TV after his Oscar win, Chandrabose revealed, “When I met Tom Cruise, I walked up to him and introduced myself. He said, ‘Wow, I love RRR, I love ‘Naatu Naatu’. To hear the word ‘Naatu’ come from a legendary actor like Tom Cruise, it’s a matter of happiness.”

Earlier, Chandrabose spoke to ANI and said, “I wrote 90% of the song within half a day and rest 10% took 1.7 yrs. My effort, hard work and patience have paid off.” The song is sung by Kaala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj who performed the Oscar-winning track on stage with 20 dancers.

RRR is a fictional tale of two Indian revolutionaries, Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju. The film explores the friendship between Ram and Bheem and their journey away from home during the 1920s.
