The comments made by Mansoor Ali Khan about him not having ‘bedroom’ and ‘rape scene’ with Leo co-star Trishna Krishnan has landed him in a legal soup. The actor, known for essaying a villain on screen, has now been summoned by the Chennai Police for his derogatory remarks after an FIR was registered against Khan under sections 354 A and 509 for sexual harassment and outraging modesty of a woman. While the actor was said to have gone incognito post the police issued summons, it seems that he has now reportedly returned for questioning.
In an earlier report shared by News18, it was being said that Mansoor Ali Khan had allegedly switched off his phone and even his house was locked, only hours after the police issued summons regarding the case. However, it seems that a few hours later, the actor was seen making his way to the police station.
In the past, many organizations including the National Commission for Women requested the police to take action against Mansoor for his demeaning comments. In fact, they condemned the act by issuing a statement on social media. Many celebrities also came forward to express their displeasure and schooled Khan for making such comments about a woman. In fact, the production house under which the Thalapathy Vijay Leo was produced also issued a statement against the actor saying, “We are deeply dismayed by actor Mansoor Ali Khan's disrespectful speech. Such behavior is unacceptable and completely contradicts our core values of respect and equality. We stand united in condemning this behavior.”

For the unversed, Mansoor Ali Khan had spoken about not sharing screen space with Trisha Krishnan in the film during a press conference, wherein he had commented, “When I heard that I was acting with Trisha, I thought there would be a bedroom scene in the film. I thought I would carry her to the bedroom just like I did with other actresses in my earlier movies. I have done so many rape scenes and it’s not new to me. But these guys didn’t even show Trisha to me on the sets during the shoot in Kashmir.” Deeply hurt by the comments, Trisha Krishnan also took to social media to condemn this and vowed that she would never want to share screen space with Khan in the future.
