Telugu actor Mahesh Babu recently left for New York for a three-month family vacation. Reportedly, the actor has decided to undergo knee surgery to treat an injury he sustained during the filming of Aagadu in 2014. The report further states that the actor has been suffering from acute knee pain for the past few years.
The actor has been delaying his knee surgery for quite some time due to his hectic work schedule. He sustained the injury when he was shooting for the title song of Aagadu in Bellary. The actor had once considered going under the knife after the release of his 2017 film SPYder but did not work out as the actor did not wish to be off the screen for a long time. As per the reports, the actor is now ready to carry on with the surgical procedure.
The surgery is scheduled to take place in the last week of January and it will take at least five months for the actor to recover completely.
Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu was last seen in the film Sarileru Neekevvaru, in which he played the role of an army officer. The film that also starred Rashmika Mandanna released on Pongal earlier this month worked exceptionally well at the box office across the country.
