Mahesh Babu, Pooja Hegde starrer SSMB 28 will release on April 28, 2023 : Bollywood News

Mahesh Babu and Trivikram Srinivas will be coming together for SSMB 28. The highly anticipated film will feature Pooja Hegde as the lead actress. Touted to be a high-octane action-entertainer with a unique concept, the makers have now locked in the release date for this film. As per their recent announcement, SSMB 28 is expected to hit the theatres across the globe on April 28, 2023.

Interestingly, the date chosen for the film also has a special significance. It is being said the date 28 is chosen because this will be the 28th movie of Mahesh Babu. And yet another reason is that one of Mahesh Babu’s biggest blockbusters in his career, Pokiri featuring Ileana D’Cruz, also released on April 28, but 16 years ago. And now announcing the new release date, a special video was unveiled by the production house to confirm the news.

A source close to the production confirmed the given details adding, “Mahesh Babu will be seen in yet another scintillating massy look in the film. It is expected to go on floors soon. The pre-production formalities have already started and are progressing at a brisk pace. Trivikram is churning out a script that'll appeal to audiences across all age groups. In fact, expectations are running high on SSMB 28 since Mahesh Babu and Trivikram's past collaborations, like Athadu and Khaleja have gained immense response. As for this film, the team will announce more details about the project shortly.”

Speaking of the technical crew, SSMB 28 will be edited by national award-winning technician Navin Nooli, whereas AS Prakash will be the art director. National-award-winning music director S Thaman will be composing the tracks for the film whereas PS Vinod will be the cinematographer. Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, S Radhakrishna will produce the film under Tollywood’s leading production house Haarika & Hassine Creations.
