Kamal Haasan's classic 1996 vigilante action film Indian is back on the big screen, generating excitement among fans ahead of its sequel Indian 2 releasing on July 12. The re-release, which hit theaters this Friday, has sparked a wave of celebration, with fans showering the film with love and a touch of recklessness.
A special screening at Kamala Cinemas in Chennai turned into a spectacle, with a video circulating online showing enthusiastic fans throwing confetti, cheering, and filming the screen as it freezes on a scene featuring Haasan's character, Senapathy. The excitement escalates further as some fans light fireworks inside the enclosed space, raising safety concerns.

Indian tells the story of Senapathy, a disillusioned freedom fighter and army veteran who transforms into a vigilante to combat corruption and injustice.
