“Kamal Haasan reaches at 5 AM,” reveals Indian 2 co-star Rakul Preet Singh; gives details of his character : Bollywood News

Superstar Kamal Haasan is currently working on Indian 2, which has created a great deal of buzz among fans. While a section of moviegoers is eagerly waiting for the release of the film, the leading lady of the project, Rakul Preet Singh, has recently spilled the beans about the veteran actor’s character and preparation for the same.

During her recent conversation with Free Press Journal, Rakul Preet Singh opened up about Indian 2, and Kamal Haasan’s character in the film. She candidly revealed that Haasan is playing the titular character of a 90-year-old man. She asserted, “He (Kamal Haasan) has prosthetics in this film too. He is playing a 90-year-old character in this film. The prosthetic makeup takes four to five hours. He reaches at 5 a.m. so that he is on the sets by 10 a.m.”

Lauding his dedication, the De De Pyaar De actress further added, “Removing the prosthetic makeup takes two hours and it’s so hot in Chennai but he does not care. I think that’s a different generation. I think in 100 years, he has been part of cinema for more than 60 years. More than 75 percent of the time he has existed, he has been part of cinema. Nobody knows cinema better than him.”

For the unversed, the forthcoming biggie is touted to be a potential game-changer for the star as it is a sequel to his yesteryear classic film, Indian. Though the makers have not made an official announcement regarding its release date, it is speculated that the movie might arrive during Dussehra or Diwali 2023, if the crew is able to wrap up the remaining shoot on time. Along with Haasan and Singh, the film will also feature Kajal Aggarwal as the leading lady. The S. Shankar directorial is said to be released in multiple languages.
