Kajal Aggarwal unveils FIRST LOOK of her avatar as Parvathi Devi from Kannappa : Bollywood News

On Tuesday, Kajal Aggarwal took to social media to drop the first look of her avatar from the much-awaited Kannappa. Starring Vishnu Manchu in the titular role, the films boasts of being a high-budget mythological drama based on the legend of Kannappa – a true devotee of Lord Shiva. With Akshay Kumar making his Telugu debut in the role of Lord Shiva, the film will see Kajal reunite with the actor, over a decade after the release of the heist thriller Special Chabbis (2013).

Kajal Aggarwal will be playing the role of Parvati Devi and as she unveiled her look on her official Instagram page, the picture also shared a brief description about the beloved Goddess and her aura. “Mother who rules over the three worlds! The Trishakti who protects her devotees! In the sacred Sri Kalahasti shrine, Resides the holy Jnana Prasunambika!” the note read. Along with that, Kajal too expressed her happiness of being a part of the project in the caption, wherein she wrote, “A dream role indeed! Happy to be starting 2025 on this divine note :) #Kannappa”. Her picture received widespread love from audiences and industry insiders alike who showered their admiration in the comment section.

About Kannappa

Speaking of the film, it stars Vishnu Manchu in the titular role along with Mohan Babu, R. Sarathkumar, Arpit Ranka, Kaushal Manda, Rahul Madhav, Devaraj, Mukesh Rishi, Brahmanandam, Raghu Babu, Preity Mukhundhan and Madhoo essaying key supporting roles. The film also boasts of some major cameo appearances which not only include Kajal Aggarwal and Akshay Kumar but also Mohanlal and Prabhas who too will feature in mythological avatars. With music by Stephen Devassy, cinematography by Sheldon Chau, and editing by Anthony, the film is directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, and it is expected to release on April 25, 2025.
