On November 22, superstar Kamal Haasan shared that he has been tested positive for COVID-19 and is in isolation at a hospital in Chennai. The actor-politician had tested positive for the virus on his return from the United States of America.
Kamal Haasan had said that he had a slight cough on his return from the USA and on testing, the results came positive for COVID-19. On Friday, the hospital in which Haasan is currently isolated shared an update on the actor's health.
"Sri Kamal Haasan has been admitted to Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre. He is recovering well. His condition continues to be stable," the statement from the hospital read.
Two days back, Kamal Haasan's daughter actor-singer Shruti Haasan also took to her Twitter handle to inform that her father is recovering well. "Thank you for all your wishes and prayers for my father’s health. He is recovering well and is looking forward to interacting with all of you soon,” she tweeted.
On the work front, Kamal has been shooting for the film Vikram which marks his 232nd film. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film also stars Fahadh Faasil and Vijay Sethupathi. Two weeks back, on Haasan's birthday, the makers had shared a teaser video of the film featuring the actor in his action avatar. Vikram is being produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raajkamal Films International. The music of the film has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
