After Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb in the Bollywood film Chhaava, it is time for his Humraaz co-star Bobby Deol to don the role in another magnum opus titled Hari Hara Veera Mallu. Starring Pawan Kalyan as the leading man, the film is based on the folklore of outlaw Veera Mallu, featuring Deol as the Mughal Emperor. On the occasion of the Animal actor’s birthday, the makers of the Telugu action-adventure drama have unveiled his first look poster from the film.

While the actor has been receiving immense love and fame for his roles as an antagonist, he will once again be seen in a similar avatar in Hari Hara Veera Mallu which will revolve around Mallu’s task of stealing the Koh-i-Noor diamond from the Mughals. Taking to the social media platform X aka Twitter, the makers decided to unveil the actor’s avatar on the special occasion of his birthday, leaving his fans excited. They also penned a birthday wish along with the picture that read, “Wishing the incomparable, the man of magnetic screen presence @thedeol a very Happy Birthday! - Team #HariHaraVeeraMallu.”
Deol reveals Hari Hara Veera Mallu came to him before Animal
In a recent interaction, Bobby Deol was quoted telling Deccan Chronicle, “I heard the script and found it interesting. Hari Hara Veera Mallu is a story that connects with the emotions of everybody in the country. Very rarely do actors come across scripts like these. I was approached for Hari Hara Veera Mallu way before the release of Animal.” For the unversed, the film kicked off a couple of years ago but experienced several delays due to the pandemic restrictions and Pawan Kalyan’s political commitments.

About the film
Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and A.M. Jyoti Krishna, Hari Hara Veera Mallu is set against the backdrop of Mughal Era and is expected to be a magnum opus with multiple instalments. The first one is titled Part 1: Sword vs Spirit and revolves around the Kohinoor heist. Also starring Nidhhi Agerwal, Nargis Fakhri, Jisshu Sengupta, Jim Sarbh, among others, the film will be hitting cinemas on March 28.
