The much-awaited trailer of Devara Part – 1 was launched at a five star hotel in Mumbai in the presence of actors Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor along with director Koratala Siva, presenters Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Anil Thadani. Jr NTR was applauded by fans when he came on stage and when he gave headline worthy quotes.
Jr NTR said, “Koratala Siva and I have known each other since my film Brindavanam (2010). Siva was its writer. Our friendship since then has grown. My respect towards him has only increased with every film that he has directed. It was tough for him to deliver consecutive blockbusters. This is because Siva has nothing in mind but the story of the film. He just needs the right space and people to excel.”
Jr NTR then said how Karan Johar, Anil Thadani and Apoorva Mehta reacted when they got a glimpse of Devara, “When they saw some of the visuals, I was really shocked looking at their reactions. That’s when I realized that this movie will definitely work.”
He stated, "Devara Is extremely high on drama. Saif sir will agree with me that there were some physically strenuous action scenes that we both have been a part of.”
Jr NTR added, “(Action director) King Solomon has extensively worked on the overwater and underwater scenes of the film. We shot 30 odd days underwater and 60 days over water. Hence, the action is phenomenal and something you haven’t seen before. I can’t wait for the world to see it.”
A journalist asked him about his favourite action scene in Devara. The superstar replied, “I would definitely not point at one sequence or one stunt. But I think that the last 30 minutes or so would rock you all!”
