Not too long ago, reports of how Jr NTR enthralled the audience of Chennai during the promotional event of Devara: Part 1 started creating buzz. Now, the latest reports suggest that even actress Janhvi Kapoor, who is making her Telugu debut with this action entertainer, left the audiences excited by revealing her Tamil skills. The audiences were in for a surprise when Janhvi opened the speech in the language and cheered for her as she continued to express her happiness about venturing into South Indian cinema.

Readers would be aware that while Janhvi is the daughter of producer Boney Kapoor, who is Punjabi, she is also the daughter of the late Indian superstar Sridevi and hence, is quite well-versed in South languages. In fact, Sridevi not only had a flourishing career in Hindi cinema but also was one of the most loved and respected actress in Tamil and Telugu languages. Recently, when Janhvi was in Chennai along with co-star Jr NTR, she was invited on stage to address the audience at the promotional event of Devara.

Speaking about how the audiences have showcased their appreciation for her late mother, Janhvi opened the note in Tamil saying, "Chennai is very special to me. My best memories with my mother (Sridevi) are from Chennai. The love you’ve showered on her is the reason me and my family are here. I will always be indebted to you for that. I hope you show me the same love. I promise I will work very, very, very hard for it. Devara is very special to me. I really hope, from the bottom of my heart, that you enjoy what we've made," she added. The actress also insisted that she would like to do a Tamil movie soon.

Meanwhile, apart from Devara: Part 1 which will be releasing on September 27, Janhvi Kapoor has also signed another Telugu movie – an untitled massy entertainer co-starring Ram Charan.
