DARBAR: The Rajinikanth starrer is expected to release early? : Bollywood News

Audiences are eagerly waiting to see their favourite superstar return as the cop in Darbar. The excitement only further increased when Rajinikanth was seen shooting for the A R Murugadoss film in Mumbai. Now we hear that the makers have completed major portions of the film and they are in fact, before schedule! If reports are to be believed, the makers have saved on a lot of time and hence are planning to prepone the release.

Like Petta, A R Murugadoss and the rest of them had scheduled the release of Darbar in Pongal 2020. But it seems that there are high chances that the plan might change! While we know that the film went on floors in summer this year, the makers were keen on taking their own time to complete the project. And reports have it that the makers were lucky enough to not face any unforeseen contingencies or delays because of which everything went on smoothly and as per schedule.

Speaking of the film, reportedly about 80 percent of the film has already been wrapped up and the few pending portions are expected to finish by mid-August. And furthermore, the makers are expected to complete the post production in September and October. Hence, they have decided to prepone the date to occasions like Diwali or may be Christmas. In fact, reports have it that they may even consider Rajinikanth’s birthday as a release date for the film. If that comes true, it will be a double treat for Thalaiva fans this year!

Besides Rajinikanth, Darbar will also star Nayanthara as his leading lady and Prateik Babbar as the antagonist. The details of her character are under wraps.
