Kerala was the first Indian state to have positive cases of coronavirus in February. While the government successfully tackled the situation back then, the state has yet again seen a rise in the number of positive cases. As of Wednesday morning, the total number of positive case has come up to 14.
The state government announced that all the theatres in the state will remain closed until March 31 due to the coronavirus outbreak. Several upcoming Malayalam movies are likely to be effected by this. While the makers of Tovino Thomas starrer Kilometers and Kilometers have decided to postpone the release of the film, it is to be seen whether the makers of Mohanlal starrer Marakkar will be postponed as well. The big-budget epic, made at a cost of about Rs. 100 crore, is Malayalam's most expensive production till date and is scheduled to be released in around 5000 screens around the world on March 26.
In addition to this, Mammootty starrer One and Fahadh Faasil starrer Malik are some of the other films lined up for release this week.
