Coolie: Makers introduce Nagarjuna as Simon from the Rajinikanth starrer : Bollywood News

While he is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated Vettaiyan which is expected to be a star-studded affair, it seems that the other film of Rajinikanth, Coolie too will be a pleasure to watch with multiple stars being a part of it. The makers including the filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj took to social media to wish the Telugu superstar Nagarjuna on his 65th birthday on August 29 and along with that, they also unveiled the first look of the actor from the film.

Although there have been reports suggesting that Nagarjuna will be collaborating with Rajinikanth for Coolie, the makers have now confirmed the same and also introduced audiences to his character by sharing a glimpse of him in an all-black avatar in a monochrome poster. Meanwhile, Lokesh Kanagaraj, who also posted the same on his social media handle on X, aka Twitter, penned a note wishing the Telugu superstar and welcoming him to the team as he said, “Kicked to have King @iamnagarjuna sir joining the cast of #Coolie as #Simon ???? Welcome on board and wishing you a very happy birthday sir”.

Speaking of Coolie, the film marks the 171th film of the Tamil megastar and also marks his reunion with actor Sathyaraj after three decades. If that wasn’t all, the film also features an extensive technical crew, which not only includes renowned composer Anirudh Ravichander, who will be creating music for this massy entertainer, but it also includes Anbariv as the action coordinators who will be choreographing high-octane stunts for the film. It also includes cinematographer Girish Gangadharan and film editor Philomin Raj as a part of the team. Further details on the cast, however, are awaited.

While Coolie is expected to be an out-and-out commercial drama with Rajinikanth in an action-packed role, the film is slated for release in multiple languages, which not only includes Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, but also Hindi.
