After wrapping up two back to back projects – Chehre and Gulabo Sitabo, Amitabh Bachchan is taking rest before he kickstarts his next schedule of Brahmastra. But, meanwhile, his Telugu film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy has a release date now. The film is set to release on October 2.
Chiranjeevi made the big announcement about his upcoming film during a magazine interview with his daughter-in-law Upasana Konidela. During the interview with wellness magazine B Positive, he said, “It has always been my dream to play Bhagat Singh. Despite being offered the role back in the day, I couldn’t play it for several reasons and it was later played by several of my counterparts. It was played by several actors across languages. I regret missing out on an opportunity to play the role because I don’t think anyone wants to make a film on him today.”
Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is produced by Ram Charan and helmed by Surendar Reddy. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi, Jagapathi Babu, Sudeep and Nayanthara in pivotal roles. As Amitabh Bachchan explained in his blog, the film is a story based on the life of freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy.
