Aranmanai 4 Hindi press conference: “After watching House Of Wax, main waxing nahin kar paa rahi thi” – Tamannaah Bhatia : Bollywood News

On May 29, a press meet of Aranmanai 4’s Hindi version was held in a multiplex in Mumbai and it was attended by gorgeous actresses Tamannaah Bhatia and Raashii Khanna, actor-director Sundar C, producer Khushbu Sundar and others. Tamannaah Bhatia and Raashii Khanna were asked about their favourite horror film while growing up and they gave entertaining replies.

Raashii Khanna went first, “Bachpan mein toh koi horror film dekhna chahta nahin hai (smiles). I started loving horror films when I became a teenager. There was a film of Urmila Matondkar, Bhoot (2003). It was one of my favourite Hindi horror movies. It shook me because she was fantastic in the film.”

She added, “Usually, when we talk of horror films, we usually talk of the ones from Hollywood, like The Conjuring franchise. I never imagined that in the future, I’ll be a part of a successful series in the horror genre.”

She also said, “Horror as a genre should be explored more because I feel that there are a lot of stories of ghosts from different parts of India. Like we made a Tamil film on an Assamese ghost! Hence, I hope more such films are made so that the audience gets entertained.”

Tamannaah Bhatia, meanwhile, stated, “Even I agree with Raashii and my favourite Hindi film is also Bhoot. We had never had a performance of this kind, and no one expected a role like this from Urmila ji. My favourite English film is House Of Wax (2005). I think I saw the film in this very theatre. In this film, the character kills people in different ways by using wax.”

She raised laughs as she confessed, “After watching House Of Wax, main waxing nahin kar paa rahi thi. Every time I’d go for waxing, I’d think of this man trying to kill people by putting wax on them and many other strange things (laughs)! That was traumatizing.”

Tamannaah also admitted, “Main toh bahut darti hoon. I am that audience who sees a horror film like this (by covering my eyes with my hands) and I am like ‘Kuch hua kya, kuch hua kya?’. I don’t see horror films; I hear most of it!”

The Hindi version of Aranmanai 4 releases in cinemas on May 31.
