Pawan Kalyan insisted that someone on Allu Arjun’s behalf should have visited the victim’s family in order to avoid this controversy.

Readers would be aware that the Sandhya theatre stampede controversy which started because the chaos that ensued due to the visit of Telugu superstar Allu Arjun, resulted in the death of a woman, leaving her son gravely injured. The actor was seen visiting theatres to interact with audiences ahead of Pushpa 2 screening when the incident happened. Followed by the same, Telangana authorities arrested Arjun after the demise of the woman but the latter was released on bail.

However, as per news reports, since an interim bail was granted to the actor, a hearing for the same was scheduled in the last few days of December. But reports now suggest that the same has been postponed and scheduled to January 3. The hearing reportedly was rescheduled after the actor made a virtual appearance at Nampally court in relation to the case on December 27. For the unversed, Allu Arjun was asked to be taken into Judicial custody for 14 days, after his arrest on December 13. However, the same day, his lawyer appealed the court for an interim bail which was granted to Arjun and the latter had to make an appearance on Friday as the judicial custody was coming to an end.

Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan, who is also related to Allu Arjun, has reacted to the arrest of his distant nephew and has insisted that the controversy wouldn’t have reached this level if someone from the Telugu superstar’s team would have visited the victim’s family. “It would have been better if someone had visited the victim's family earlier on behalf of Allu Arjun. Revathi's death in this incident has deeply shocked me. They turned what was already lost into an even greater tragedy. We should have conveyed earlier that we are all here to support the family. There should have been a sense of regret for the mistake, even if it happened without their direct involvement. There is a clear lack of humanity in this matter. Everyone should have gone to Revathi's house to offer reassurance and condolences. The people's anger stems from the absence of such a gesture. Arjun, too, feels the pain of knowing that someone lost their life because of this incident,” the political leader shared in a statement during an informal interaction with the media.

He also showcased support towards the police officials who took immediate action in the case and added, "The law is equal for all, and I do not blame the police in such incidents, they act with public safety in mind. That said, the theatre staff should have informed Allu Arjun earlier about any issues. Once he sat in the seat, they should have instructed him to vacate it if necessary."
