It seems like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is continuing to seek more opportunities down South. After Mani Ratnam's upcoming Tamil film, Ponniyin Selvan, the actress will reportedly reunite with Robot co-star Rajinikanth in his next project, Thalaivar 169. If the reports are anything to go by, she will be seen essaying the role of his wife.
The project will be helmed by Beast director Nelson Dilipkumar and music will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander. While an official announcement is yet to be made, the 48-year-old actress will reportedly play the role of the 70-year-old superstar’s wife. The two stars previously starred in Shankar's Robot, 12 years ago.
The film will also see Ramya Krishna and Priyanka Arul Mohan in pivotal roles. It will reportedly kick off in August 2022. The film is expected to hit theatres in 2023.
