Ace film choreographer Saroj Khan passed away earlier today. The 71-year-old, who was recently admitted to Guru Nanak Hospital for breathing issues, suffered cardiac arrest and breathed her last at 1.52 am early on July 3, 2020. While she is widely recognized for her contribution in the Hindi film industry, she has also worked with South stars.
Several celebrities took to social media to express grief over the passing away of Saroj Khan. Telugu superstar Allu Arjun who is also known for his impeccable dancing skills, took to Instagram to share his fondest memory with the late choreographer. Before making his debut in the film Gangotri, he did a cameo as a dancer in the 2001 film Gopi and Saroj Khan did the choreography for the film.
Sharing a collage of three pictures, including two from the sets of Daddy, Allu Arjun wrote, “Saroj Ji ! A Legendary choreographer no more. She was my 1st choreographer ever in the movie “ DADDY “ . I have always admired her incredible body of work . A precious & an irreplaceable jewel in Indian Cinema . I bow down my respects for her and my deepest condolences to all the near and dear ones . RIP #Sarojkhan ji”
Saroj Khan, in her career spanning over forty years has choreographed over 2000 songs. She is survived by her husband and three kids.
