"Except me, I would like to thank everybody because every department has been a part and pillar of this film. Each technician has treated this film as their own with a lot of passion and I thank every one of them," acknowledges the large hearted producer-director Sajid Nadiadwala. In the third part of Bollywood Hungama's exclusive slideshow based on Kick Coffee Table Book, we present to you the indomitable spirit of Mr Nadiadwala. Every member of the crew that we spoke to had some wonderful things to say about how he looks at the artiste-in-his-technicians and not merely workers. It's a rare quality in Bollywood. We have sweet surprise for you right at the end of this slideshow. Lights, camera...and action!
"Subhan, my elder son has made his lucky charm appearances in most of my productions from his debut appearance in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and thereafter in Heyy Babyy, Housefull and Housefull 2. It was only befitting that with Kick in which his father was making his debut as a director, my younger son Sufyan also made his debut screen appearance along with Subhan. Initially they were supposed to make their appearance in another sequence altogether but that didn't happen but I was very keen that my mascots had to bring in their lucky charm to Kick and their presence has added to the sweet taste of the success Kick like the ice creams that they were enjoying through the filming," says the proud father.
"I don't have words to say about the journey of this movie. This is a special movie to me. I found the greatest producer in Indian film industry, Mr Sajid Nadiadwala. Without Sajid sir and Salman sir I wouldn't have been here. As a Director he is very clear about what he wants. He is a great captain. I can proudly say that My Godfather is Sajid Nadiadwala. May God bless him," says action director ANL Arasu, summing up the team's feelings in general.
"Throughout the film has kept me on my toes but as luck would have it while in Warsaw (Poland) where we were filming high octane thriller sequences my back developed a spasm and left me with no option but to direct for 'back' to 'back' days horizontally," Sajid bhai smiled once again.

"There was this particular real life incident in which a few brave boys had unfortunately lost their lives amidst indifferent onlookers. This incident has hurt and disturbed me deeply about the apathy of one human being towards another. A Eureka moment that this internal turbulence stirred was when I was taking a shower one morning and got an idea to interpret this incident in my own way and incorporate it in a sequence in the film where Devi unexpectedly takes on not the perpetrators but the mute spectators urging them to not take things lying down. I excitedly narrated the scene to my wife as I stepped out of the shower and her positive reaction and feedback gave me the positivity that I had hit a right chord," Mr Nadiadwala reminisces with a smile.
