Tabu expresses happiness as she joins the cast of Dune: Prophecy; says, “I am thrilled to be working with some of the most brilliant creators, actors, and crew”

Just not too long ago we had reported that Tabu has made her way to the cast of Dune for its upcoming series, soon to be released on JioCinema. Titled Dune: Prophecy, it is a Max original series, which will be a part of the critically acclaimed movie franchise, that built a dedicated fandom after winning six Academy Awards.

Set within the expansive universe of Dune, created by acclaimed author Frank Herbert, Dune: Prophecy follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit. Tabu's character is based on Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson's novel, ‘Sisterhood of Dune,’ where she takes on the important role of Sister Francesca. While speaking on the series releasing on JioCinema Tabu shares, “I am thrilled to be a part of the massive global franchise, Dune: Prophecy, and to be working with some of the most brilliant creators, actors, and crew in the industry. I am looking forward to bringing the show to the homes and hearts of the audience through JioCinema .”

Tabu will be portraying the role of Sister Francesca which is that of a strong, intelligent, and alluring woman, as she promises to leave a lasting impression and charm that is quintessentially her. Upon awakening, Sister Francesca returns to the Palace where she was once beloved by the Emperor, but her presence leads to a disruption in the balance of power in the capital - what follows, is a story of grit, human emotions, and mystique of the cosmic.

Tabu has previously worked on international movies and series like A Suitable Boy, Life of Pi, and The Namesake, among many other Indian works that gained international recognition. She will be working alongside Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Johdi May, Mark Strong, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea, Jade Anouka, Faoileann Cunningham, Edward Davis, Aoife Hinds, Chris Mason, and Shalom Brune-Franklin as the major cast of the movie. Dune: Prophecy is expected to premiere soon exclusively on JioCinema.
