Renee Zellweger praises young co-stars Mila Jankovic and Casper Knopf in Bridget Jones 4

Renee Zellweger, returning as the beloved Bridget Jones in the upcoming Bridget Jones 4, shared her thoughts on the two young actors playing her on-screen children, Mila Jankovic and Casper Knopf.

Mila Jankovic takes on the role of Bridget’s daughter, Mable Darcy, and Zellweger couldn’t be more thrilled with the casting. Speaking about Mila’s portrayal, she said, “And if you were going to craft a human being to be Bridget Jones’ daughter, Mila walked in and there she was. Her hair was a mess, and everywhere, and she was all over the place, and she was so full of life, that you could just imagine oh yes, this is one hundred percent Bridget Jones’ child.”

Zellweger also had high praise for Casper Knopf, who plays Bridget’s son, Billy. She described him as someone who takes his work seriously while still bringing a sense of fun to the set. “In real life he’s so much fun. He wants to try everything, and he takes his job very seriously, and he does it beautifully. He’s always smiling and laughing, and the relationship that he formed with Mila as big brother to little sister, and little sister leaning on big brother, was so lovely. He always had his arm around her, helping her along, getting her ready to go, and she just looked up to him,” he stated.

The heartwarming chemistry between the young actors promises to add a fresh dynamic to the beloved franchise.
