Hugh Grant is delighted to reprise his role as the suave and rakish Daniel Cleaver in the fourth installment of Bridget Jones’s story and says, “Cleaver is fun to play, one of the few things I’ve discovered over the years is that if you’re not having fun doing the part, then you probably shouldn’t be doing it. He’s a breath of fresh air. A dinosaur in the world of woke. He’s mischievous and wrong.”

Grant believes this film explores new ground for the franchise, largely because the book draws from Helen Fielding’s own life experiences. “This is perhaps the best of the four scripts I’ve read,” he says. “It’s very moving and close to Helen Fielding’s heart.” Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy emerges as a poignant story of resilience, companionship, and the extraordinary courage it takes to embrace love and second chances—all with Bridget’s signature humor, vulnerability, and irresistible charm.
