Park Jimin of 21st-century pop icons BTS released the official teaser for his pre-release track ‘Set Me Free Pt. 2.’ Set to be released on March 24, FACE delves into Jimin’s story of fronting his true self and making a new leap forward as an artist.
The teaser video, released on March 15, opens with a close-up shot of Jimin looking charismatically at the camera. As the camera sweeps around the room, capturing the scene, Jimin strides towards a group of dancers. As the screen cuts to black, it reveals the song’s title and Friday release date as Jimin can be heard singing, “You set me free.”
‘Set Me Free Pt.2,’ which will be pre-released on March 17, sings about his resolution to free himself from various emotions hidden deep inside him. The main track ‘Like Crazy’ is a synth pop song with intense synth sound and drum sound, upon which Jimin’s poignant timbre draws a beautiful distinction.
Through FACE, Jimin will present his own musicality with distinct timbre and impeccable dance performance. Meanwhile, BTS earlier unveiled the track list and album cover for FACE in late February. The track list and album cover images display the album logo FACE in a shape of ripples on the surface of water. According to the track list, the album includes a pre-release track ‘Set Me Free Pt.2’ and main track ‘Like Crazy,’ which will also be released in English version.
