Actor Jackie Shroff participated in the second edition of Mitti Ki Awaaz, an environmental initiative held at DY Patil University in Navi Mumbai during World Environment Week.
The event focused on engaging students as active participants, volunteers, and collaborators in environmental action. The organisers have also partnered with Heartfulness to support sapling plantation drives as part of the initiative.
“The responsibility of a greener future belongs to the youth, and ‘tomorrow’ must be shaped with them. The youth of today has to be aware of the environment they are living in, and Mitti Ki Awaaz brings an initiative that actively involves the younger faces, not just talks to them,” said Shroff.
Shroff also used the occasion to promote his upcoming film The Great Grand Superhero: Aliens Ka Aagman, which carries a theme centred on the protection of the planet.
The event incorporated eco-friendly and low-waste measures in its planning and production. Mitti Ki Awaaz is organised with the aim of translating environmental dialogue into direct action, with a focus on youth participation.
