The latest trend of showing support and taking up dance challenges on social media has become a must for upcoming films and this time around, the Bollywood fraternity is hailing the Sonakshi Sinha starrer Akira. Gen Y star Sidharth Malhotra, after his return from the Dream Team tour, decided to voice his support for the film.

Taking a cue from Sonakshi Sinha's popular dialogue 'Thappad se darr nahi lagta saab, pyaar se lagta hai' from her debut film Dabangg, Sidharth Malhotra shared this video giving his best wishes to Akira aka Sona for her forthcoming release. He posted, "Watch out boys this girl means business #Akira coming this Friday, kill it @aslisona big hug." In response to the same, Sonakshi not only reposted the video but in a tongue-in-cheek manner added a comment saying, "Lolziessss... Who slapped u haan??? Tu sirf naam bol ill handle the rest ?? thank u thank u Sid!!! #Repost @s1dofficial"

Prior to this even Akshay Kumar shared his best wishes for the film. Akira, directed by A R Murugadoss, stars Konkana Sen Sharma, Anurag Kashyap among others and is slated to release on September 2.
