“Good times and bad times simply pass away. And the way it (6 years) passed away was something like I blinked my eyes six times. Such was the speed. And, whatever I got to see in this speed also, I will always cherish with me and shall keep with me forever”…. were the words with which the literary great Javed Akhtar started off his farewell speech in Rajya Sabha.
Without naming the (infamous) Asaduddin Owaisi, Javed Akhtar commented on his recent remarks and added that some of Akhtar’s friends would be disappointed with him as he says that the current ruling government has very capable people.
Javed Akhtar also urged the government to utilise power of the Indian youth and that democracy could never be possible without secularism.
