Vivaan Shah has continued to earn praise for his nuanced performances, and the actor drew fresh attention with his surprise appearance in the trailer of the upcoming film Ikkis. Reacting to the positive response, Vivaan said he felt honoured to be associated with the film. “It was such an immense honour to be a part of Ikkis. I loved the trailer! I was overjoyed to be featured in it. It was exhilarating!” he said. He also described working with director Sriram Raghavan as a significant moment in his career. “To play a role of this sort and work with the great Sriram Raghavan was a dream come true,” the actor added.
Speaking about his character, Vivaan revealed that Ikkis marked the first time he portrayed an Army officer on screen. He explained that his character served as Arun’s tank commander and played an important part in the film’s climax. “He is a part of the final battle and has a very interesting equation with Arun,” Vivaan said. He further described the role as slightly eccentric and colourful, adding depth to the narrative.
Sharing his hopes for audience reactions, Vivaan expressed excitement about showcasing a new side of himself. “I hope audiences will accept and appreciate me in this different avatar,” he said. Emphasising how challenging the role was, he added, “It is a role unlike anything I have ever played before, and I do hope to surprise the audience with my performance.”
