Vikrant Massey reveals meeting Amitabh Bachchan for the first time; describes it as a ‘huge moment’ : Bollywood News

This Friday, Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan on Sony Entertainment Television, will see two special guests – it will see IPS officer Manoj Kumar and the popular star Vikrant Massey grace the episode to promote their award-winning movie 12th Fail. The episode is one of the much-awaited ones as the reel and real-life Kumar will be coming together on a massive platform in order to showcase Manoj’s inspiring journey towards success and fulfilling his dream.

The episode, as promised, will also have its own share of entertainment where Amitabh Bachchan will be seen in his elements, having engaging conversations with the contestants. In one of their interactions, Mr. Bachchan asked IPS officer Dr. Manoj Kumar his feeling of being a part of the show, to which, Dr Manoj Kumar responded, "I never imagined that this show would be so beneficial for students preparing for the UPSC. We used to stand at the pan shop or roadside eateries, waiting for 9 PM to prepare for the UPSC through the show. There were times when we felt like our preparation was complete. But as soon as you started asking questions, we realized our preparation was far from enough. Until then, general knowledge wasn’t prioritized much in schools. What KBC did was make teachers and parents realize the importance of general knowledge and the need to teach it to children. I consider myself very fortunate to be sitting in front of you today!"

Vikrant Massey, who portrayed Dr. Manoj Kumar in the film, 12th Fail, also shared the hot seat along with the real-life Kumar. He was in awe of Amitabh Bachchan and also went on to express his admiration for the legendary actor, saying, "Sitting on this hot seat and meeting you in person is a huge moment for me. I’ve worked in cinema for 12-13 years and spent 8 years in television. In my nearly 20-year career, this is the first time I’ve had the chance to meet you in person." Amitabh Bachchan warmly responded, saying, "It feels like we’ve met many times before. Watching your performances, it feels like you’re one of us, like family."

This entertaining episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 16 will be airing on Friday at 9 PM on Sony Entertainment Television.
