Music composer Anu Malik has taken to social media to express his support for the recreated version of 'Chunnari Chunnari Let's Go', originally composed by him for Biwi No.1 (1999), which featured Salman Khan and Sushmita Sen. The recreated track features Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde, and Mrunal Thakur in Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai and has been recomposed by Akshay and IP Singh.
Sharing a video on Instagram, Anu Malik said, "Chunnari Chunnari, Chunnari Chunnari. Guys, it's been so long since I saw the song on a superstar on Varun Dhawan's face. Earlier also this song was super hit when it came on Salman Khan. And Salman Khan took it to a different level."
He added, "Pehle bhi gaana super hit tha, aaj bhi super hit aur kal bhi super hit rahega (The song was a superhit earlier, it's still a superhit today, and it will remain a superhit tomorrow as well)."
Praising Varun Dhawan's performance, he said, "What a dance, those girls are looking so beautiful...Varun, tu kya nacha hai yaar. Kya lag raha hai gaana! Congratulations."
Anu Malik also spoke about his long association with director David Dhawan. "David Dhawan ki koi bhi film aur Anu Malik toh dekhta hi dekhta hai. Itna kaam kiya hai David Dhawan ke saath aur kya director hai!"
Directed by David Dhawan and produced by Ramesh Taurani under Tips Films, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai stars Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde, Mrunal Thakur, and Maniesh Paul, along with Jimmy Shergill, Mouni Roy, and Chunky Panday. The film releases in theatres on June 5, 2026.
