Varun Dhawan reveals why Jugjugg Jeeyo is a special film for him : Bollywood News

Just a day ago, Jugjugg Jeeyo trailer was launched with much fanfare along with the entire cast, Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and Maniesh Paul as well as the rest of the team. Producer Karan Johar was hosting the launch. During an interaction with the media, Varun was asked about how does it feel about being a ‘dulha’ on screen and the actor revealed that this will be a special film and he has an emotional reason behind it.

Varun Dhawan reveals why Jugjugg Jeeyo is a special film for him

Speaking about his special bond with Jugjugg Jeeyo, Varun Dhawan said, “This film will always be very special to me for one reason because it is the last film where my friend, my brother, my everything, Manoj was there with me. That’s why Jugjugg Jeeyo will always be special in my life. That was the time when we had shot internationally for this film. Throughout this film, I think his blessings are there and that’s why it’s literally the most special film.”

Earlier this year, Varun Dhawan had lost his driver Manoj who has been an integral part of the actor’s childhood. The actor had taken to social media to speak about his sad demise and later, even shared another post as a tribute for him. Varun has always maintained that he was very attached to Manoj Bhai who has been with him for about 26 years of his life. He had driven Varun to Mehboob Studios in Bandra and had complained of chest pain. He was rushed to be admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Bandra but he was pronounced dead.

Jugjugg Jeeyo featuring Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor amongst others, is directed by Raj Mehta. The film is slated to release on June 24, 2022.
