But in the recent episode of Vogue BFFs 2, the actress decided to go candid about it. While we aren’t aware of too many details about their love story, Rani spoke about their first meeting.

Did you know how Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra meet for the first time? Not many know that they had first met professionally during the casting of the film Mujhse Dosti Karoge. Back then, when Yash Raj Productions was finding its actors, Aditya was quite interested on casting Rani for the film.

However, Aditya faced pressure from many people to not cast Rani Mukherji as they thought she wasn’t good enough to play the part. Yet, he still went ahead and casted her because he saw caliber in her and had faith in her talent.

On the COLORS INFINITY show, speaking on this, Rani Mukherji said, “After having faced failure for a couple of my films, luckily Mujhse Dosti Karoge happened and that’s when I met Adi first time professionally. He told me that I’m doing a couple of crap films & that people have pressured him not to take me because they think you don’t have the equity for a Yash Raj film but Adi had had belief in my talent and me and thought that I was good for the part. My mother and I have been very upfront people always & I like frankness and openness so I like the fact that he was on my face.”

From that decision to then having one thing lead to another, they finally got married. They now have a gorgeous daughter, Adira. Rani Mukerji, who was enjoying her maternity break, is also back in the industry. She is gearing up for her next YRF film Hichki which will release in March.
