The trailer of Luv Ranjan’s most awaited romantic comedy Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar was released at a mega event on January 23, 2023. The actors Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor along with director Luv Ranjan were in attendance. The trailer was a breath of fresh air, with crackling chemistry between the lead pair, stunning visuals, hilarious dialogues and a concept which is as fun. During the event, the actor spoke about the reason behind not doing romantic comedies after Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

“There is no strategy. But if I kept doing one type of film, then the excitement would be less. Now, I am doing this film. The reason I will tell on Holi,” he told the reporters on Monday.

“I have many films in this genre like Bachna Ae Haseena, Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, Anjana Anjani, and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Sometimes what happens is that actors have very limited faces and personalities. Sometimes you run out of them and you need characters. I think the rom-com genre is the hardest genre. You give me a character like Sanju or a Rockstar, you are hiding behind the character. You have certain things to hide behind. I am just insecure that I don’t run out of personality and keep delivering some entertainer through this genre.

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is directed by Luv Ranjan, produced by Luv Films’ Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, and presented by T- Series’ Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar. The film hits screens worldwide on the Holi, March 8, 2023.
