The much-awaited film Rajinikanth – Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 is only a day away from its release. The film, which is one of the most expensive films made in India, is a sequel to the 2010 blockbuster Enthiran (Robot) which earlier starred Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with Rajinikanth. For the film, Akshay had to undergo physical transformation with the help of makeup and extensive prosthetics.
Akshay Kumar essays the role of Dr. Richard / Crowman. He shared a new poster from the film and wrote, “Tomorrow…. the world will change! Tomorrow…our world will change. Tomorrow…. will be the new beginning, the 3D wonder arrives tomorrow… OUR destiny will change forever… TOMORROW #2Point0.”
A couple of days ago, he shared a photo from his makeup chair which was throwback picture from the time he was shooting the film, Akshay captioned it, “After 3.5 hours of makeup, the results were quite astonishing…definitely called for a selfie ???????? Witness the transformation in 2 days! #2Point0FromNov29 #2Point0.”
Recalling the process, Akshay Kumar recently said, “It was a painful process. For almost three and a half hours, I had to sit down quietly and do nothing. Three people used to work on my body and I had to stay patient…that was tough. I would say that the whole process of prosthetics made me a much calmer and patient person. I am already a patient person, but this made me more subtle and mellow at that time.”
